Maddie and Daddie! :)

Well, this year was Brent's first Father's Day as a Daddy, and he loved every bit of it! He got to pick our lunch destination so we ended up at Five Guys Burgers and Fries (an excellent choice for all you burger lovers out there!) Then we went to get ice cream at 3 Spoons, I may or may not have forced him to go there- I'll never tell! Then for the rest of the day we just hung out at the house spending time together. For dinner, Brent showed off his master grilling skills for Mom, Dad, Chase and Lauren. More hamburgers and more yumminess!! Here are a few pics from the day:

Our First Week Together!

So, of course there are going to be a few bumps while trying to figure out how to be a mommy, but all in all our first week was fantastic! I'm running on adrenaline alone since any amount of sleep is considered a gift these days, but I couldn't be happier! Brent was able to take off Monday-Thursday and stay home with us. We didn't do much more than just stare at our sweet baby girl and still had an amazing week. We would constantly look at her, then look at each other, and just say "Wow!" Words cannot explain how much we love our daughter, and each day that love grows exponentially!

Oh, and in case you're wondering...yes, I am definitely going to be "that mom" who shares more pictures than you might want to see and more than she might want to take. Oh well, everyone is just going to have to get used to the new me! :)
